The mission of the Children’s Nutrition Fund (CNF) is to provide food and education for children who would otherwise have to go without in Central-Eastern Europe. Firstly in Hungary, and eventually within the entire region.
Most of GYEA’s donors come from the middle to low income section of society, and a vast number of them are pensioners. It is very telling that while in 2012 GYEA only received 56 million forints (around USD 250 000) in donations from the 1% of income tax individuals in Hungary are entitled to offer to a cause of their choosing, in the preceding year this sum was almost twice as much. CNF’s team is hoping to be able to mention the generous donations of American private individuals in this column; individuals who will make it possible for the children of the CEE region to receive proper nutrition. With the consent of each donor, we will include the names of these generous persons on our website.
